Study Abroad

Study Abroad

One way that students can increase the impact of their university education is by immersing themselves in the national and institutional culture of another university abroad while completing their U.B. degrees.

Benefits

Studying abroad exposes students to special topics in their chosen field of study that may not be available in Belize. Students also get to expand their comfort zones by undertaking new academic and developmental challenges through non-academic courses, travel, research and understudies.

See the World

Every year the Department of Student Affairs assists qualified students to apply for opportunities to take a full semester of courses at one of U.B.’s partner universities in Canada, Spain or Eastern Europe. The list countries and universities is always growing

What you need

Each partner university has a slightly different set of requirements but usually to qualify for study abroad, our UB students should be in their 3rd year in the university and must have a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.3 or above. Students should check their UB emails for official notices about study abroad opportunities.

Be part of the Fun

Look for official posts from the Department of Student Affairs to know when you can apply for these opportunities to make your UB education even more impacting. You can also write to us using the button below for more information.
